The Hubertus W. V. Willems Scholarship awards $3,000 to Black or African Male Students currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college. To qualify, you must be an NAACP member with financial needs and be interested in pursuing a career in the field(s) of engineering, chemistry, physics, or mathematical sciences. If you haven't heard back within a few weeks, reach out to the scholarship organization! Some scholarship organizations email all the applicants to let them know if they were selected or not, while others only contact the winners—it usually depends on the number of applicants. It never hurts to follow up.
