Overview
The AWM Austi scholarships are awarded to a college Sophomore or Junior studying media or a related field at a university in the Austin area (within a 40-mile radius of Austin). Consideration will also be given to students attending other colleges who graduated from an Austin area high school and maintain an Austin area permanent address. Students must have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher. A personal statement and two recommendations are required.

If you haven't heard back within a few weeks, reach out to the scholarship organization! Some scholarship organizations email all the applicants to let them know if they were selected or not, while others only contact the winners—it usually depends on the number of applicants. It never hurts to follow up.
