The $1,000 Father James B. Macelwane award is offered to an undergraduate for the submission of an original student papers concerned with some phase of the atmospheric sciences. Applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences are encouraged.
